Egg-stravaganza

I had promised to be more regular after being away when my new grandson arrived. Unfortunately, my partner of 12 years had a massive heart attack just after my last post. He is recovering nicely and I hope to be posting new and exciting items on a regular basis. At this time I wanted to share an Easter challenge I am hosting on http://artandimagesbykim.ning.com. This is being held on the Graphics45Fans forum. Here is a picture of my creation.

Baby Is Here

At long last, I have found some time to get back to my blog. A lot has happened while I have been absent, but most of all my grandson arrived on Feb. 13th at a healthy 8 lbs. 2.4 oz. He has been christened Paul Sawyer. I have put together this little accordion album for him and his Mom to have. here it is.

Faux Leather Tags

I have been playing around with some faux leather techniques  and wanted to share these two. The first was made using masking tape and the second with glycerine.

Creature Comfort

After being absent for many weeks, I have found some energy to craft. Today I made this card for a swap called Creature Comfort. Wish I could be this comfortable in bed, but the crumbs scratch my back. LOL

This bottom card is for Take your pet for a walk.I used a die cut for the dog and a stamped image for the women.

Baby Has Arrived

It has been quite a while since I have been at my blog. I have a wonderful excuse as I am here with my daughter helping with my new grandson. He made his entrance into our world on Feb. 13 weighing in at 8 lbs 2.3 ounces.  His name is Paul sawyer and we are thrilled with him. I immediately went to work making this little accordion album for him and his mom.

Back from the Holidays

I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Like many of us, mine was extremely busy. Not only was a preparing and making gifts for my family, I was also making items for my daughters expected baby. I soon will be leaving home to join her in Oregon for this very awaited birth. I made her this gown to wear and thought I would share it here on my blog. I smocked this in smocking fleece, so it will be very warm and cozy to wear.

Making Baby Items

As many of you already know, I am expecting my first grand son in February. I have been very busy sewing my heart out in anticipation of his arrival. I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you what I have been making. I have embroidered 11 bibs and made 5 crib blankets and receiving blankets so far.
