I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Like many of us, mine was extremely busy. Not only was a preparing and making gifts for my family, I was also making items for my daughters expected baby. I soon will be leaving home to join her in Oregon for this very awaited birth. I made her this gown to wear and thought I would share it here on my blog. I smocked this in smocking fleece, so it will be very warm and cozy to wear.

I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you what I have been making. I have embroidered 11 bibs and made 5 crib blankets and receiving blankets so far.

Whimsical
I just finished this mixed media piece using Gelatos. I also stamped on the Gelatos and finished with Watercolor markers. This was my first attempt using Gelatos and I found them very easy to work with. A little bit goes a long way.

Fancy Party Dress for an Angel
This is a little dress I smocked for a special occasion. The collar is cotton organdy and the sleeves have organdy inserts done with shadow work embroidery to match the smocking..
